CADENCE
These are the photos that I took for the magazine. I have sorted them into which images I took for the different pages in my music magazine.
These are the photos that I took for the magazine front cover.

I have chosen Millie to wear a blacktop and black ripped jeans for this shoot to reinforce the rock look. I think that rock has connotations of using dark and bold colours. I think that by using bold colours my model will stand out from the text in my magazine and will also link to what sort of clothes the model where in my research of different front covers. I thought that it would be easier for my model to bring along bold colours that would match my colour scheme. I have taken various shots from different angles and distances. I have done this so that my images are varied and so that I can have a choice of which images I would prefer to use for my front cover magazine.
These are the photos that I took for the magazine contents page.
need to get another photo shoot of a different model and need to then upload to magazine

I have decided to keep Millie in the same outfit as in the photographs used for the front cover. I have done this so that it is easier for the readers to identify who the main artist is and what she looks like. I also don't think that using a lot of different coloured outifits would have matched with my bold colour scheme. I have chosen to again take various images so that I can chose which images to edit and use in the contents page.
I have decided to use Clarissa's images on the contents page so that my magazine doesn't focus too heavily on one main artist. These images will give variation to the contents page. I have chosen Clarissa's clothing to match in with my colour scheme. I have chosen a black top with white writing, dark jeans, black boots, and a grey hat because I think that these show the colour theme of my magazine which I have intend to use throughout.
These are the photos that I took for the magazine double page spread.

I have kept with the same outfit so that this doesn't confuse the audience. I think that these images slightly differ to the other because I have introduced a prop into the images. I wanted to use a large prop for the double page to fill up the image. I think that these images look like they have been taken from a music magazine as they are taken with a prop that links directly to music. I have used different angles to shoot these images to add variation to my images and to make these different from the others as these images are used for a main feature and main part in the magazine. I think for this reason they should be different from the rest.
These are the images that I have edited to go into the magazine for my front cover, contents page and double page spread.

I have chosen these images as I think that they all vary from each other and will be used effectively on the different pages of my magazine. I intend to use all of these images with in my magazine front cover, content and double page spread. I think that all of these images relate to the music genre and to the magazine task.
Millie is a friend of mine, and as we both meet up regularly I decided to ask her to meet me at the studio. I have also asked a choreographer to take some photographs for my magazine. I have chosen these models as I know them well enough to ask them to strike different poses and I also know that they would be able to bring musical props to the shoots.
I took the whole shoot in an empty dance studio. I organized this through meeting up with Millie to plan out where I would take the shoots. I organized the shoot with Clarissa after seeing her in dance class. I organized to meet up with her and Millie on separate days because I was not sure of how long the photo shoot would take. This way I was able to see what I could develop during the next shoot and this helped me to decide which poses I wanted for the magazine.
Before the shoots I did research into the covers, contents and double page spreads of music magazines. I also asked Millie to bring along any magazines she had a home to further help us to get different poses. I think that this really helped us to get a clear understanding of how I wanted my model to look. I asked Clarissa to bring along some props so that we could try out different poses with the props, I think that this helped to improve the photographs.
At first I asked Millie to do a few different poses to find out if she felt comfortable doing the photographs. From there we looked at different ways to stand sit and use different props. To help us we kept going back to the images and to the magazines for help. I found this helpful as it inspired me to think of different angles to shoot from. I also did let Millie improvise with movement and came up with unique photos that resembled the research without copying it. I asked Clarissa to use the guitar at first and then to also use the amp as I think that these props are appropriate and link with the music genre of my magazine. I also allowed Clarissa to give me ideas by improvising. I found that this helped to get into the shoot better and this also helped to get images for the contents page.
Originally I asked 3 friends to do different shoots. After meeting up with them did I realise that my other friend wouldn't be able to make it to do the photo shoots for the magazine. This way I found that photographing the instruments only would make another shoot that would link heavily with the music genre of rock. I took a series of different shoots where my models where dressed in different outfits from each other as I wanted to make sure that there is a clear difference between them both. I organized all of the meet ups and from these we were able to work out when we was free to do this shoot as I wasn't too sure of how long it would take to get all the images I needed. I explained this to the choreographer and to Millie and they both agreed to let us have the studio for 1-2 hours each time I needed to use it. This allowed me time to organize Millie’s and Clarissa’s rock look. I asked them both to bring clothing and different outfits so that I could pick with one would be used in the shoots. I found this effective because I could get my visual ideas into the shoots with how the models looked.
