To start the planning process I started with creating various ideas for the layout of my front cover. Here are some of the early plans, my original plan and the final plan of the front cover. To create my plans I used  the tools in Photoshop to create neat and clear layout designs.

These are my first plans for the layout of my magazine front cover. I have created these plans using my own ideas and also using the research to help influence my work. From these frist designs I have developed them to form my first original plan.

This is my first original plan. I have created this by using Photoshop. I think that this plan is clear for my audience. I thin that I could improve this by adding in more stroies to interest and catch the audiences eyes. To do this I will refer back to my research to see where I could add in more information.

This is my final plan. This is the plan I will use as a template for my front cover. Whilst in the editing stages I will use this layout as a guideline which could result in some parts being further developed later on. I think that this plan links closely to my research and shows how the research has helped to influence my work.

These are my early plans for the contents page. Next to the early plans I have my finished original plan and my final contents page for the magazine.

For the contents page I have created six different plans. Some of these have been my own ideas and other have been developed by linking closely to my research and using my research to help them to look interesting for my audience.

This is my original plan. From here I intend to develop the plan so that my layout is clear an understandable to the audience. I think that this is very important when designing pages for others to read. I think that this layout could be improved by adding in more images to make the contents page look more inviting and interesting to my audience. I will also develop the spacing for my text and could use more boxes to help group my information effectively.

This is my final plan that I will use when designing my contents page. I think that this layout links better to my research than the previous plans. I think that the layout is clearer as now there are separate boxes for my information to be effectively grouped in together. I will use this layout as a guideline to make my magazine contents page.

These are my first plans for my double page spread. I have placed my original plan next and then finally my final double page spread plan used in the magazine.

Out of these five plans that I created from my research I am thinking of using two of the plans and then work out with the images which one I would prefer to use for my final double page spread in the magazine. Looking back to my research I might also change and develop some of the plans that I think could be suitable for my double page layout.

I didn't like this style of layout as with the photograph of the artist it didn't look right to use the interview over the top of the image. I think that having so much text also made the photo look too busy and it was hard to find a place to look to first where as without the text there would just be an imag to look at so that the audience can put a name to a face.

This is my final plan for the double page spread. I prefer this layout as I think that it is easier for the audience to read the article as it is all together and not spread out too much over the two pages. I think that this layout resembles my research and shows how the previous research has had an impact on the structure of my work. I will use this plan as a template for my double page spread.
