Target audience research
I have sent out a survey via surveymonkey to students in college to collect results.
Here are my questrions and results.
I decided to send out these questions to my audience as they would help me to organise different parts for my magazine.
This questioner has helped me to design my final media product. The feedback from the audience helped me to decide on the pricing of the music magazine, which features are popular to include in my magazine and what age group would be more inclined to read a music magazine. I have varied the answer options so that the audience could give back a more specific answer to help me to design my magazine for an audience.
This research helped me to see what parts of a music magazine are popular and would interest my target audience. By getting this feedback I was able to change the stories that I had for my magazine front cover. I think that this has helped me to improve my front cover as it would now attract more people interested in rock music to my magazine.
The research has helped me to decide on a reasonable price for my magazine. I think that by asking the audience how much they would spend on a music magazine has helped me to see how much they would pay. To decide on the price I looked at the popular bracket which was £2-£3 and then used the middle £2.50 as my pricing.
The research has helped me to decide on what to include in my magazine that would be suitable and interesting for my target audience. I included interviews, reviews, events, gossip, chart list, posters. The results made sure that I included interviews, reviews, events and a chart list. These were the most popular from my results. I was also able to see what my audience wasn't interested in which was gossip and posters. I decided not to include these as they didn't seem to interest or attract my audience.
